This table I built for my Houston Fire Station 17 measures 16 feet by 4 feet and stands 32 inches tall. The table base is constructed of four 3/4" 4x8 sheets of plywood screwed and glued together in a double layer. The table frame is constructed of a retired 16 foot roof ladder. The table base is through bolted to the ladder. The table legs are 4x6 posts with retired hose coverings in 1-3/4, 2-1/2, 3 and 4 inch diameters. The table top is 3/4" reclaimed oak wood flooring. All pieces were sent though a planner to achieve uniform thickness. The table edges was then routed for the inlay of the 2.5" diamond tread plate. The table rails were also milled to have a 2" diamond tread plate inlay. The graphics were applied and then the fun began of prepping for the clear epoxy. This table seats 10 personnel comfortably.
